Elisa Simantke is the Editorial Director of "Investigate Europe" - an investigative cross-border team with members from all over Europe. IE publishes investigative reports with media partners in up to 18 countries europe-wide. The team is mainly funded through several European foundations, but it also makes money out of selling its investigations to media partners and through building a supporter community. Elisa is coordinating and leading the team of reporters and is herself an award winning journalist that previously worked at Berliner Tagesspiegel covering European affairs.
